The Award is open to local Indigenous writers over 16 years of age and will be for a short fiction of up to 2000 words or a poem on any theme. Prize money of $1200 will be divided between the award recipients if there is more than one winner.
The 2018 award will be judged by Marie Munkara who will also announce the Award winner at 12:30pm on Saturday 21 July at La Trobe University, Mildura.
