The New Voices Series was a partnership between Express Media, Australian Poetry, the Katherine Susannah Pritchard Foundation and the New South Wales Writers’ Centre. This project continued the New Voices Series and New Poets Series published by the Australian Poetry Centre since 2009, and the Young Poets Fellowships run by the NSW Poets Union from 2002–2007.

In 2013, Express Media partnered with Australian Poetry for the first time to publish the first collections of emerging poets, in particular selecting poets aged under 25 in Melbourne, NSW, and Perth. The first poet to have their work launched was Ainslee Meredith, followed by Chloe Cholerton, Joel Ephraim  and  Zoe Taylor. All titles can be purchased through Express Media. You can get the e-version from the Express Media Tomely store here.

New Voices poets Matthew Abbott and Eileen Chong were published in April 2012. Eileen’s book, Burning Rice has since sold out and has been republished by Pitt Street Poetry. Matthew’s book wild inaudible is now available in our online shop.
