It’s with four artists from Bankstown Arts Centre. Poetry Slams have become a great outlet for expression and often tackle challenging issues about racism, rights and the environment. They particularly engage young and developing poets from diverse backgrounds.

The event is free of charge, but you do need to book in for a free complimentary welcome drink, or to reserve a chair, so you don’t miss out on the action.

Eden Gardens in Macquarie Park is excited to announce Poetry Week, running from the 14th March, encompassing International Poetry Day on Wednesday 21st March. This week we plan on cross-pollinating poetry with plants, playing with words and involving poetry in as many aspects of the Gardens, Café, Nursery and Function Centre as we can.

We look forwars to nature inspired works to exhibit here, and in particular have prizes for Haiku and Acrostic poetry (based on the word EN_RICH)
