Local, Attention: A Poetry Reading

Fri 10 Sep, 4pm
State Library Victoria, Create Quarter

While the pandemic has brought into stark focus how bound we are to global influences, it has paradoxically turned our attention sharply towards our own communities and surrounds. Join a collection of the country’s favourite poets, Luke Beesley, Andy Jackson, Jeanine Leane, Ellen van Neerven, Jessica Wilkinson, along with host and fellow poet Claire Gaskin, as they perform works that look close to home to explore who we are, who we have been, and who we could be.

Presented in partnership with Australian Poetry via the Cultural Fund.

Discount code of 10% is valid from 7pm, 28 July until midnight, 12 September for all live events at the 2021 Melbourne Writers Festival excluding the MWF Gala, workshops and Take It From Me events. Use the code AUSPOETRY10 when booking full-priced tickets online via mwf.com.au
