Australian Poetry Journal 12.2—‘suite, sequence’, guest edited by Emily Stewart is out now. This volume is a special one for us, as it continues our new-look Australian Poetry Journal series, created by designer Chris Edwards, with cover artwork here using the photography of Elena Gomez. This approach sees covers being created using original artwork by poets who are also visual artists.
It is also the first volume produced by our new Managing Editor Adalya Nash Hussein. Publisher remains Jacinta Le Plastrier with socials and communications by Jennifer Nguyen. Jacinta also curates here our ongoing new section, ‘from recent collections’, showcasing some of the most brilliant poetry being published in new or recent collections by Australian poets.
We deeply thank the Australia Council for the Arts for funding it, within the national poetry journal that is the Australian Poetry Journal, and for the core support of Creative Victoria and the Cultural Fund, the latter who supports our publications program as it is linked to our many literary festival events.
