This year marks the thirtieth anniversary of the death of poet Martin Johnston.

Born in Sydney and brought up in Greece, Martin Johnston produced a body of work that is both very Australian and quintessentially European.
This new anthology includes his two published volumes, a selection of early poems and Greek translations, and the poetry he wrote in the period before his death in 1990.

It shows the range of Johnston’s voice, the clarity of his perception, and the breadth of his passions.

Poems from the anthology will be read by Martin’s fellow poets, including Gig Ryan, Jennifer Maiden, Pam Brown, Joanne Burns, Laurie Duggan, Philip Mead, Anna Couani, Toby Fitch, Mark Mahemoff, Chris Edwards, and Kate Lilley.

In lieu of physical events, we have moved to Zoom. Book through our website and you will be sent a Zoom link with your ticket. We look forward to seeing you there!
