Writing Practice with Sue Fielding

Across four fortnightly sessions, Sue Fielding will guide participants through the 6 ‘rules’ of writing practice developed by US writing teacher and author, Natalie Goldberg (ref. Writing down the Bones and Wild mind- Living the Writers Life). In a supportive and positive environment, participants will practice the ‘rules’ through a series of timed writing exercises. This is a great way to get going, loosen up and explore new territory. There will be ample time for discussion and the sharing of resources. Beginners and experienced writers of any genre are welcome.

Sue Fielding is an Alice Springs-based poet. Her work is published in local and national publications, including Fishtails in the Dust (Ptilotus Press), Metabolism: the Australian Poetry Members Anthology, Australian Love Poems 2013 and Sotto magazine. She was the Café Poet-in-residence at the Bean Tree cafe in Alice Springs during 2012. Sue is a member of Ptilotus Press, and the NTWC Central Australian advisory group. Sue has an MA (Writing and Literature) and is currently working on a manuscript of poems for publication.
