Call for Submissions Rabbit 31: The Science Issue

Rabbit: a journal for nonfiction poetry is currently accepting submissions of nonfiction poetry for The Science Issue, to be guest-edited by Tricia Dearborn (author of Autobiochemistry, 2019). This issue seeks poetry that flirts with, wrangles with or inhabits science, from the macro to the molecular, from the theoretical to the practical, from the lab to everyday life.

Please send up to 3 poems in one document through Rabbit’s Submittable site (see submissions). Please include in the cover letter of your submission:

• a short (50-word max.) response to the following: How is science poetic and/or poetry scientific?

About the guest editor: Tricia Dearborn’s most recent full-length poetry collection is Autobiochemistry (UWA Publishing, 2019). Her work is represented in anthologies including Contemporary Australian Poetry, Australian Poetry since 1788 and The Best Australian Science Writing 2019. She was a judge of the 2019 University of Canberra Vice-Chancellor’s International Poetry Prize.
