The search is on for Australia’s 2019 poetry slam champion!
Cheer on our finalists as they speak, scream, howl, whisper or even sing their poems, stories, lyrics or monologues in this electric live event where the audience is the judge.
The Victorian state final will be hosted by Joel McKerrow, award-winning writer, speaker, community arts worker and one of Australia’s most successful internationally touring performance poets.
The winner and runner-up will go on to compete at the national final, held at the Sydney Opera House. The champion wins the chance to perform at international festivals like Ubud Writers and Readers Festival and Hong Kong International Literary Festival.
