Marianne Boruch is a Fulbright Senior Scholar in UC’s International Poetry Studies Institute. Her work includes 10 poetry collections, the latest Eventually One Dreams the Real Thing and, forthcoming, The Anti-Grief (Copper Canyon, 2016, 2019). Marianne’s poems and essays have appeared in The New York Review of Books, Poetry, The Poetry Review, The Edinburgh Review, The New Yorker, American Poetry Review, The Nation, New England Review and elsewhere.

Mark Roberts is a Sydney based writer and publisher. He is the founding editor of Rochford Street Review and blogs at Printed Shadows. His latest collection of poetry, Concrete Flamingos, was published by Island Press in 2016.

10 June – Limestone Tanka Poets

The focus of the evening will be Limestone Tanka Poets, a Canberra-based group  convened by Kathy Kituai. They have two collections to their name: Ragged Edges (2013) and Ink to Paper (2016).

Come along and hear poetry celebrating the intersection of women, science and poetry read by some of our eminent local scientists.

Anita Patel will present her long-awaited collection A Common Garment (Recent Work Press). We will also hear from the wonderful Lizz Murphy from Binalong.
