The Perth reading of Judith’s poems will be held from

6-7pm on 13 February (her birthday)

at the Centre for Stories

“You’ve got to give something to the world – poetry is my offering.”

The Australian poet and editor Judith Rodriguez, who was born in Perth, died late last year. She was a tireless worker for poetry and freedom of speech, a member of the Melbourne PEN Centre from 1984 onwards and an International Vice-President of the world organisation. As a tribute readings of her work are being held in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.

Readers will include Josephine Clarke, Lucy Dougan, Marcella Polain, Annamaria Weldon and members of Judith’s family. Admission is free and all readers interested in poetry and freedom of speech are welcome. Light refreshments will be served after the reading.
