We are excited to share the news that we have been successful in our first funding application: we have received a Community Grant from the City of Melbourne to support our work in 2019.

This will allow us to facilitate many more collaborative translations and to share the outcomes with you through publications and events.

If you are interested in being involved in a collaboration, please don’t hesitate to contact us. If we have already begun discussing a potential collaboration with you, we will touch base again soon.

Additionally, if you have a translation of a literary and/or biographical work that you have previously completed collaboratively, we would like to invite you to submit it for our 2019 publication of “Bordertown”. This will be the third in our series of collaborative translation collections (excerpts from our previous two here!) Please accompany it with a short introduction outlining your collaborative process.

In short, we are looking for native English-speaking writers who are interested in collaborating on a translation of short fiction or poetry from a language they don’t speak into English. Writers will be paid $40/hour to attend a single 3-hour workshop with 2-4 English learners.
